The Hyuga Clan is the strongest in the hidden leaf village as of late, and they are the only other clan in the series that is born with an ocular kekkai genkai. I remember in the early days of naruto it was mentioned that the Hyuga is an off shoot from the Uchiha clan but I want sure if that was filler or not. I don't want to go back and check.

So this being said, why isn't the Hyuga more important in relation to the SOSP? Surely if they are a distant relative to the Uchiha then a Hyuga is also half capable of Rinnegan as well. Of course they would need the body of the SOSP mixed into their DNA. (Yes, more reason for a NaruHina connection)

Also, why isn't there a secondary evolutionary form of the Byakugan? If there was, what would it be called?

kakashi did say that the uchiha originated from the hyuga. not the other way around. he sed that during the chunning eaxams prelims. neji vs hinata fight.

also the hyuga are by fact the strongest clan in the leaf village even when the uhciha were around. the only truly renown uchiha memebers were madara, that's why they had fame of their powers. later on itachi, obito and now sasuke. the hyuga are probably the top strongest clan in all the shinobi world, am sure of it. unlike the uchiha, the hyuga do not need to awaken their powers since they are born with the power of the byakugan, and it can be activated with ease, plus it doesn't drain chakra. the hyuga are also the only people that can use chakra from all their body unlike other who can only use from feet and hands. the byakugan grants 360 vision, x ray vision, telescopic vision, and the ability to see the chakra network and the chakra openings. the hyuga are also the only ones capable of destroying the chakra network and shutting it off or increasing the flow of chakra. they can also harm any type of body no matter who or what they hit with the gentlefist. they are know to posses all members perfect control of their chakra. they are also masters of taijutsu and are capable of killing pretty much anyone with one blow even if they are weaker then their opponents. like when hiashi kill like 20 sand ninja during the sand oro, invasion of the leaf. he just stays inj same position and takes out like 20 ninja with ease they were probably chunning level plus. so all in all the hyuga are some of the more bad ass fighters in all of naruto. plues we haven't seen the full of their capabilities hopefully hinata gonna take the hyuga bloodline to its maximum.

I also do wonder if the byakugan posses some other stage. if it doesn't its just cause its dam good already how it is.

if naruto and hinata have kids he is gonna be the child with the best body ever, one of the most usable ocular genkais and some extreme amounts of chakra. conclusion he will become a major ass whooper when he master both narutos and hinatas abilitys. besides being able to use the gentlefist and the air palms makes you practically unbeatable. since air palms can kill pretty much anyone with one hit as does the gentle fist as well, no matter if there hokages or lower or higher. since gai sed the gentle fist can destroy the chakra network and destroy the vital organs with one hit is so the user desires.

in my opinion the hyuga are the best ninja possible even better the the uchiha. since not all uchiha can become as good as madara or obito. hyugas can become all of them if they work hard enough as good as hiashi. hiashi is just so boss ahaha.

Thanks for clearing up who said it and when. This goes to prove my point even further, Naruto needs Byakugan eyes to become a true SOSP.

I've always thought Hyugas were the most powerful but even in the Manga it was said that the Uchiha and Senju were the two most powerful and feared clans.

yes about the senju and uchiha being fear. but you know the manga has not told us about the hyugas involvement on the wars in fact we know very little about them. in the end we can conclude that the hyuga have being mostly peaceful and neutral when it comes to war and stuff.(the only wars we know they being is the 3rth world war.) besides only tobirama, hashirama were important senju clan members. and from the uchiha only madara and his brother. later on obito sasuke and itachi have become powerful uchihas. but uchiha clan as a whole and senju were relatively not as strong as they are made out to be. since the manga also tells us that the uchiha and senju were only view as powerfull because of madara and hashiramas presence, since they were the ones doing all the major fighting against each other and the ones that show the pinnacle of the clans power. other then that the rest of the clans members are very weak in comparison.

still I think if the uchiha and hyuga fought the hyuga would win since their abilities cant be copy by the sharigan. and 360 vision is a major advantage in battle. plus air palms are weaked deadly, one balst from them and your death, especially if hiashi hits you with one of his.
